about alex
It’s always nice to know a little about a therapist before you put yourselves in their hands.
Alex Gwinnell is a highly qualified clinical complementary therapist. She is a firm believer in the value of continuous learning and is always looking for ways to refresh and update her skills – on both a professional and personal basis.
Alex fell into a variety of jobs after A levels including IT, recruitment, advertising and law. But she’d always had an interest in human biology and physiology so did an evening course for a year in Anatomy, Physiology and Massage. Alex qualified in 2000 and knew she’d found her calling. She started getting evening and weekend clients while she continued to work in law.
Eventually she took the plunge and handed in her notice at the law firm. She got a job at a local gym, working on reception for 3 days a week and building the business on the other days. She now works full time as a clinical massage therapist but has kept up the studying habit, adding to her skills with the following qualifications:
- BA (Open) in Human Biology and Psychology
