Established in 2003, Therapia is the brainchild of massage therapist Alex Gwinnell BA (Open) MFHT.
Meet Alex
Alex is a highly qualified massage therapist specialising in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and therapeutic massage. She works with clients undergoing cancer treatment, living with chronic conditions such as lymphoedema, recovering from surgery, or those seeking support following cosmetic procedures.
Alongside her specialist treatments, Alex also offers a range of holistic therapies including Reflexology, Indian Head Massage and deeply relaxing massage treatments, all designed to promote wellbeing, reduce stress and restore balance.
With a degree in Human Biology and Psychology, together with extensive specialist training and years of clinical experience, Alex combines scientific knowledge with a compassionate, holistic approach. Every treatment is tailored to the individual, taking into account not only physical symptoms but also emotional wellbeing. Her calm, reassuring manner helps clients feel comfortable, supported and completely at ease throughout their treatment.
No two clients are the same, which is why every appointment begins with a thorough consultation. Alex takes the time to understand your health history, current concerns and treatment goals before creating a personalised treatment plan designed specifically for your needs.
For your convenience, most Therapia Clinical treatments take place in the comfort of your own home. Alex brings everything needed for your appointment, including a professional massage couch, so all you need is a warm, quiet space and a couple of towels. Many clients enjoy adding their own relaxing music or lighting a favourite candle to create an even more calming experience.

Based in Orpington, Therapia Clinical provides mobile treatments throughout the local area and surrounding boroughs, as well as having a home clinic on Thursdays. Appointments further afield can also be arranged, with an additional travel charge where applicable.
