The principle behind reflexology is that the body is mapped out on the feet so, by applying pressure to those areas on the feet, you are helping the corresponding parts of the body.
Reflexology is particularly beneficial for digestive problems and gynaecological problems, but also aids a whole range of other conditions. It is particularly relaxing and leaves the client feeling cleansed, de-stressed, yet energised.
Reflexology is extremely beneficial for the pregnant woman. Recent studies show that regular reflexology during pregnancy significantly reduced pain during labour (1), reduced the length of the first stage of labour (1) and improved the quality of sleep in post-natal women (2).
See Pregnancy Massage page for information on packages available for pregnant clients.
